The Style: It Has Been Decreed...

This summer will be all about the tunic (pictured above).

I literally had a dream a few nights ago where I was told by the heavens that I would be wearing nothing but tunics come June and that I would look amazing! I am kinda crazy excited by this fashion development as last summer was all about tight, slutty shirts that forced me to stay slim.

I can eat whatever the funk I want in a tunic! Now will you join me on a tunic-full summer or are you worried I may look like a Roman warrior?

I guess that would be Peace Corps chic.

Exactly, Sam, I'm gonna look like a 70s hippie every single day! I may actually break out my bell bottoms although I'm not making any promises...

Yes! And a gauzy pant? Maybe that's too much look.
I have been saying for the last few years, when I become an eccentric that I am just going to wear big caftans all around town, all the time. Well perhaps this is a sign to let it flow!

Oh no you didn't Ermine. A gauzy pant. I may seriously look like a shaman from Tibet come August.

And I will totally join you on a big flowy caftan when I become the town eccentric. This isn't a joke, but in "Tron" the movie, Jeff Bridges starts the movie in this long flowing capes and it was all I could focus on!

I am all about the modern day mumu dress. Count me in.

LOL Dani! I just have this picture of all of us in long, flowing Earth-toned capes and caftans and mumuus walking around all our sh!t just blowing in the wind. We're gonna look like the Mamas & the Papas!

Hmmm, I think I'll go the Guayabera route. I need a bit more structure in my shirts. For example: http://www.mycubanstore.com/guayabera-shirt-for-men-poly-cotton-short-sleeve

Although I would rock one of these tunics while hosting a causal Sunday tea at home, with some denim Daisy Dukes and a cute ankle bracelet thingy. Of course my hair would be up in a simple bun with my hoop earings. And, I'm thinking of a barely there strappy sandal.

I'll totally go to the casual tea Allan in a lime green tunic with turquoise rhinestones across the neck, khaki jeggings, pink ballet flats, and a pink rose clip in my hair.
