Okay, Is It Wrong to Be Turned On By... This?

You guys helped me once before and now I need help again.

I don't know if you get these commercials for Verizon FiOS television or whatever in your area, but if you don't the commercial in question is above. Go ahead and watch.

Here's what I need the help with (and if you know me you may already know the situation).

I find the redheaded actor playing the "Cable Guy" to be Incredibly Attractive... Like I have to stop and stare at the screen when the commercial comes on, he's so goshdarned hot to me. I just can't help the way I feel.

I can't find his name on the Interwebs but if he ever reads this and wants to come to my apartment and let me climb him like a koala bear, I'm ready...

Which begs the question: Is it wrong to be turned on by... this?

Thank you for you assistance.

Of course it's not wrong to be turned on by a red-head bear. I kinda get it. I've always liked red-heads and bears can be totally sexy.

See Sam! Even you said you "kinda" get it! Please tell me there wasn't a quake in your voice when you said it looking at me like "that one's got some strange tastes..."

Is it the combination bear plus redhead that's too much? Like they're OK separate but together its too much? I can't stop watching the commercial so maybe it's just me. I'll understand if it's just me.

(p.s. to anyone who knows, am I allowed to love a bear if I'm not a bear myself. I know there are rules...)

Personally, I'm not a ginger fan, but I can see the attraction. He does have a sexy cadence in his voice, and I do have a thing for beards. He actually looks like a slighly more balding & red-headed version of the seminary student I might have a crush on. The hairline is the only thing preventing me from giving an unqualified "hubba hubba."

I must say, at the very least, he is a step up from the gentlemen in your last "Is It Wrong To be Turned On By This?" post. I approve!

Thank you Paul! I'm moving in the right direction when it comes to men who stun even me by my ridiculously strong attraction to them. Good to know. And you're right, his voice is sexy... Okay, must stop clicking "Play"!

Secondly, don't think you can drop a bomb like "seminary student I might have a crush on" and think that it's gonna go unnoticed. Will this be a "Lonesome Dove" situation or no?

I have never seen "Lonesome Dove" (I know, scandalous!) so I'm not sure what situation that would be...

He goes to my church, actually he preached the first time I saw him. I managed to pay attention the sermon (it was about Elijah and the still small voice, btw) without distracting myself with his cuteness, but after church I allowed some wandering thoughts. I am only human! We had some conversation at a church pool party, but nothing serious. He's probably ten years older than me. And we're not even friends yet, only acquaintances. And I have never asked a guy out at church before. (Is that tacky? WWJD?) So, no situation yet, let alone a "Lonesome Dove" one. It's just [just] a little crush [crush].

LOL Paul! I'm so glad you responded because I totally blanked. I didn't mean "Lonesome Dove" which is why you were prolly looking at the screen like "wha?"

I meant "The Thorn Birds" with Richard Chamberlain as the priest who falls in love with Meggie but now my joke's ruined so you can ignore the whole thing. I have a tendency to get my 80s miniseries confused.

Also, don't think I don't catch your "Crush" reference there! LOL. Now the song's stuck in my head. What was that girl's name? She only had that one song, poor thing.

OK, "The Thorne Birds" makes more sense... LOL

Her name was Jennifer Paige. I had to Google it, I couldn't remember it myself.

Thanks Paul! I bet she plays that song like every hour on the hour in her apartment!

Thank you anonymous for the info! I was kinda hoping that I never found out who he was because now that I know he's in NYC... and I'm in NYC...

My crush has just intensified like 800%. But it's OK. I won't go stalker... yet.
